September 11th

September 11th

I feel bad that this post is going to be shorter than most, but four years have passed and memories of this day are still painful and infuriating. Entire libraries could be written, have probably been written but for me it all boils down to this. I want to thank the people who every day risk their lives to make people like me and my family safer, often in the face of much criticism. So whether that uniform you put on is blue, white or brown, whether you carry a gun or a fire hose, whether you're on the front lines of Iraq, Afghanistan or down the street in Jersey City, thank you.
