Tag, I'm It

Song I Have On Repeat While I Type This: "Ca Plane Pour Moi" by Plastic Bertrand

I've been tagged with this same meme (is that pronounced "mehm" or "meemee" as in this is all about me me me) twice before and now Kat just hit me so I figure third time's the charm. Otherwise my friends are going to think I just suck ass.

Total books owned: In the history of my life until now? Up in the several thousands I'd guess. Even as a child I was a bookworm. I mean the Sweet Valley High books alone were like 200. I used to go to the Beverly Hills Library and buy used books for a dollar every weekend. My parents shipped them all to the Philippines when I went to college.

Number of books on the shelves: I actually got up and counted. Well, estimated. It doesn't count the books I didn't actually see (there are sneaky books hiding EVERYWHERE, in the bathroom, in the closets, under the beds etc) but I have at least 470.

Last five books that I bought:
1) Practical Demonkeeping by Christopher Moore
2) The Once and Future King by T.H. White
3) Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke
4) Remembrance by Jude Deveraux
5) The Princess Bride by William Goldman ( Read it in middle school and it's a bit less happily-ever-after than the movie but still funny.)

Book I'm reading now:
1) Harrington on Hold 'em: Expert Strategy for No Limit Tournaments by Dan Harrington

Last five books read/re-read:
1) The Fairy Godmother: A Tale of the Five Hundred by Mercedes Lackey
2) Dry: A Memoir by Augusten Burroughs
3) Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card
4) Magyk by Angie Sage
5) A manuscript written by one of my favorite bloggers. It rocked!

My five favorite books:
1. Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore
2. A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole ("Canned food is a perversion.")
3. Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell
4. Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
5. Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire

My five favorite books/sets as a child:
1. Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell
2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
3. Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien
4. A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle
5. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis

Who I'm tagging: Whoever wants to do it. No, not "it." Whoever wants to fill this out.
