24: Hour Seventeen

24: Hour Seventeen
(Kwam is pinch hitting again which may become a regular thing, as it actually was a couple of years ago. My comments are italicized.)

1. Line of the night surprisingly goes to President Logan, talking to the First Lady. "You almost went off the ledge a few times..." By the way, all kisses between the First Couple, should have a warning first.

As in "Warning, the following scene may cause you to get a little vomit in the back of your throat."

2. How funny is it to see Wayne scaling walls in dress slacks and wingtips?

I'm not certain Wayne could look any more un-Marine-like if he tried. Seriously, can you imagine Wayne on the front lines, cutting someone's throat? He looks like afterwards he'd go "yecchhh" and wipe his hands on another soldier's cammies.

3. Note to self, if I ever hear strange noises in the house, consider that it might be Jack Bauer. Did anyone think that bank manager guy wasn't going to get shot? The civilians always get it. It was a shame too, he was a good civilian guy. Usually they are very annoying, like the Farm Son. The writers of the show must hate women AND the LAPD. That was a horrible display by the LAPD against the random "terrorists/patriots."

Yeah when he said he had to go with them to open the vault I told Geo he was dead. Sucks. They should have just locked him in the vault then told the police later. I'm sure SWAT can cut into it. Maybe not 24 SWAT though, they tend to make the LAPD look slightly more competent than people who are tied up and gagged.

4. Where the hell is Curtis? He hasn't been around for at least 2 hours.

He's at McDonald's. A brotha needs to eat. Just kidding, Curtis is at like Chin-Chin's on Ventura Boulevard, or since he's in a hurry maybe Au Bon Pain.

5. I've been an Aaron Pierce fan ever since he helped Palmer when they forced him out. However, I have the sinking feeling that he will get arrested or shot Tony Almeida style.

Yeah... I think Aaron's time has come. I think he'll die in the final battle with the Prez though. It'd be ironic considering his job is to protect him.

6. Audrey putting the tracker on the truck was the smartest thing she's done in two seasons.

I seriously started liking her the moment she took out the walkie and started scanning her car. Of course, perhaps it was Chloe's idea. I like that better, then I don't have to get all on board with Audrey.

7. In defense of the child, there is no way she could know she's leading the guy who kidnapped her back to her mom. Her mom is still annoying, even with a bullet in her leg.

Yeah T was talking crap about the kid but in the end it was Jack and Wayne who should have made sure the kid used a fake name when calling an ambulance, or who should have made some provision other than "Here, press this against your bleeding ass leg." I mean they didn't even clean that shit.

8. Do you think at the end of this we will find out if Henderson really did what he kicked out of CTU for? There seems to be a lot of time left. There has to be one more twist left. Maybe some sort of Kim Bauer side plot?

Oh please God no... No more Kim Bauer please God. Unless she's coming back and bringing her greasy ass boyfriend back, for Jack to beat the shit out of. Then I'm all for more Kim Bauer.

9. Jack downloads and sends things from that PDA all the time. Why couldn't he just send the file somehow to Audrey, Chloe, newspapers and anyone else, just in case he's captured.

I though the same thing, he could have played it and sent it to peoples' voicemails. Just as insurance. It's politics, even the hint of scandal would do damage enough for people to investigate.

10. I hate "I was sexually harassed" girl and "I didn't sexually harass her" guy.

WORD. I hope she shoots him in the end, then gets her ass thrown in jail. Nice and tidy.
