Season Finale: 24
Some thoughts:
1. I see Wayne got out of the House of Horrors without detection. When he was huggin' up on the dead girl I was like "What are you doing there??? Get the hell out of there!! You're leaving DNA and fingerprints all over her!!" Yes I watch too much Law and Order.
2. It's admirable that Chase wants to do right by his daughter and transfer out of Field Ops, but why does he make it seem like it's mainly for Kim? You asshat. Do the right thing but do it for your daughter, not some ho who in 2 years you're going be telling your boys "Yeah that bitch was crazy" when you talk about her.
3. After 2 and a half seasons disliking Michelle, I find myself applauding her. When she was held hostage, she did what she had to without regard for her fear or own life. She could have escaped but Jack told her they needed her to get caught again so she did. When she heard that Tony had let Saunders go to save her, she got this look on her face like "That idiot did what?????" It was priceless.
4. Damn this show makes the LAPD look like a bunch of dildos. Hey is "dildoes" the proper spelling of the plural? Never mind. So one man with a knife in a lockdown zone can take down two cops with guns. Nice.
5. When Chase locked the bomb onto his arm I started screaming "Cut his arm off!!! Cut his arm off!!!" But then I thought "Nahh, that's demented, they're not going to do that." Well apparently the show's writers are demented because that's exactly what Jack Bauer did. When Jack saw his daughter outside the operating room I wanted him to say "Sorry I had to cut your boyfriend's arm off honey" because really, how often does someone get to say that??
6. Since the President isn't seeking re-election I think he'll pardon Tony Almeida on his way out. That's like the "thank you gift" we the people have bestowed upon our presidents, the ability for them to pay back their friends. Like how Bill Clinton pardoned the brother of that chic he banged, the relatives of his biggest contributors, people who paid off his brother-in-law, and even his own brother. If he can pardon them in real life, why shouldn't President Palmer pardon Tony Almeida in television life? Yeah!!! Send the guy home, he's had a bad day.
7. When Jack went into his car and started crying, I didn't think he was crying because he had a rough day. I thought he was in withdrawal and it finally manifested because his adrenaline was down. I was like "Oh go ahead... shoot up!! Just this once!!" Poor guy. Jack Bauer is the only television character ever that can have people thinking "Awww just give it to the guy, he really needs it." He's also the best television character EVER! Well... Jack McCoy also rocks. But Jack McCoy has never cut his friend and partner's arm off with an axe, rather than leave him to his death. So yeah... Jack Bauer is the best television character EVER!!!!!!!!
