100 Things About Geo

100 Things About Geo: Part One (1-50)

I did the requisite 100 things about me awhile ago, so this time I thought I'd do a 100 things about Geo and let ya'll get to know my husband better. You know, the 5 or so of you reading this who haven't slept with him. Just kidding haha, he really wasn't that much of a ho in his glory days. It's just fun to make the jokes, you know me. It's what I do.

1. Geo fixes everything in our house that breaks. By himself. And then it works again. Even the electronics.
2. Geo is 5-10 but is one of those people that looks taller.
3. Geo hates it when people eat his last bite of anything. He thinks it's rude.
4. But he regularly offers me that last bite because I'm his wife.
5. Geo has the nicest smile in the entire world.
6. Geo loves sandwiches. Turkey, ham, steak, salami, egg, peanut butter, spam whatever. He loves all sandwiches. Slap it between two slices of bread or into a roll and he'll eat it.
7. Geo almost moved to Atlanta in 2000, but decided to come back.
8. Geo talks in his sleep. It's a bit scary.
9. I have only seen Geo infuriated twice in my life. Once, when some woman's unleashed pit bull attacked our puppy and the other time when someone I was brawling with attacked me when my back was turned.
10. Geo's birthday is so close to Christmas that his parents gave him one gift for both every year.
11. Geo always orders a Seagram's Seven on the rocks.
12. Geo and I initially planned to just be roommates and best friends. It didn't quite work out that way.
13. Geo dislikes reading for pleasure, but he read the first three Harry Potter books because I asked him to and he reads all my blog posts.
14. Geo had an enormous crush on Goldie Hawn when he was young.
15. Geo used to breakdance very well (according to people who used to watch him).
16. But he doesn't even attempt the moves anymore because he says he's "too old" and his "back might give out."
17. Geo is 31 years old.
18. Geo taught himself how to play the drums by watching videos.
19. He's actually really good.
20. But he doesn't play enough.
21. Geo likes to recite along with certain movies, namely Top Gun, The Rock and Toy Story.
22. Geo makes the best garlic mashed potatoes in the history of the spud.
23. If he wins the lottery, Geo wants to go to culinary school AND be the drummer in a band that plays music like Linkin Park.
24. His favorite football player of all time is Joe Montana.
25. His favorite tennis player of all time is Stefan Edberg.
26. Geo is the middle child, he has an older sister named Jennifer and a younger sister named Janeth (Net).
27. He pretended to push Net off the roof when they were kids, grabbing her at the last second. He realized how dangerous what he did was, when he told me about it 20 years later.
28. Geo's list of movies he likes but rarely admits to includes Simply Irresistible, Never Been Kissed, Overboard and She's All That.
29. Geo works out to that song they play in Rocky IV when Rocky is preparing to fight Ivan Drago.
30. Geo comes out with really funny, random things. Like when our daughters were trying to eat his ice cream, "Get off me you're like coyotes!"
31. Geo has one tattoo, navy crossed anchors on his chest.
32. He wants to get another one on his back, a phoenix (for him since he's a fire sign) with its wings wrapped around a dragon (for me, as in Year of the Dragon and a fire sign.)
33. Geo didn't have a girlfriend until high school, because he was obsessed with skateboarding.
34. His favorite candy bar is Chunky.
35. Geo can beat the crap out of people, like the guy who tried to mug him down the street from our house.
36. He can also ballroom dance.
37. Geo occasionally mourns the loss of his stock Acura Integra Type-R, which did the quarter-mile in under 14 seconds and was towed out of our driveway by rat bastard car thieves in January of 2002.
38. When Geo was a kid his mom dressed him up in shirts that said "George" on them.
39. For Valentine's Day the year I was pregnant, Geo made the best dinner ever: grilled steak with sauteed onions, king crab legs with melted butter, garlic mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, asparagus with Hollandaise sauce and homemade chocolate-covered strawberries.
40. Geo's favorite holiday is Christmas.
41. Geo's prior job consisted of putting up the networks at hospitals, office buildings, airport terminals and stores like Best Buy, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Costco, Pottery Barn and William Sonoma.
42. Geo's all-time favorite TV shows are Airwolf and MacGuyver.
43. Geo's magic number (i.e. the number of people he's slept with) is 16 > 42 but the list has spaces where he can't remember their names, with things like "service hallway at Newport Mall" written in them.
44. He is (obviously) bad with names.
45. Geo was on the tennis and bowling teams in high school.
46. Geo made my bouquet on our wedding day and wraps all my gifts in a special way.
47. His favorite chain restaurants are The Olive Garden and The Cheesecake Factory. He always gets the toasted raviolis and the crispy crab wontons.
48. Geo is the best father. He changes smelly diapers without a qualm, drives out of his way to pick up a specific brand of wipes, brushes little girl hair into perfect pigtails, carries a daughter in each arm when they cry and cuddles them to sleep every night.
49. He is also the best husband. He loves unconditionally, supports me in everything I do and considers the needs of his family over his own each and every time.
50. Geo rocks.
